We organize the hiking day tour from Plovdiv to the Seven Rila lakes during the whole year. The total length of the summer hiking to the Seven Rila lakes is about 3-4 hours and it is suitable for all levels of hikers, also kids.
It is not necessary to hike the entire itinerary and get to the top lake. Depending on your hiking level the mountain leader can make the tour shorter and more relaxed, which it doesn’t mean that it will be less beautiful.
In winter time the hiking tour we organize to the Seven lakes is with snowshoes. It is suitable for intermediate to advances hikers with proper equipment.
Keep in mind that the Seven lakes are located 2000m above the sea level and at this attitude the the weather can change for seconds. No matter that it is mid August or January you need to be prepared for all kind of weather conditions. It could become cold, foggy and windy and that is why you need proper equipment.
Obligatory equipment for the summer hiking from Plovdiv to Rila lakes: comfortable hiking shoes, warm jacket, sunglasses, hat, sun protection cream.
Obligatory equipment for the winter hiking from Plovdiv to Rila lakes: waterproof boots which cover you ankle, gloves, sunglasses, waterproof jacket, hat, sun protection cream, fleeces.
- Keep in mind that the only place you can take food in the mountain is a hut at the beginning of the hiking. Better bring some snack and water with you.
- Depending on the weather conditions the mountain guide might cancel the tour or change the itinerary for your own safety.
Every step was prepared. Enjoyed every minute of trip.
