You’ll start in the Old Town of Plovdiv, the 19th-century heart of the city. You’ll move on to see some of the most interesting sites, including the Ethnographic Museum – often called the most beautiful building in Plovdiv – as well as the Balabanov house.

The Roman part of the tour takes in the Ancient theatre of Philippopolis, an amphitheatre of the Ancient Roman style, the Ancient stadium of Philippopolis – which is in the best condition out of all of those in the Balkans, as well as being the largest – and the Roman forum.

There are various places of worship included in the tour, including the Church of the Holy Mother of God, Plovdiv, the St. Constantin and Elena church and the Djumaya Mosque and square.

You’ll also have some free time for shopping on Glavnata (the main pedestrian street) and to visit the Kapana neighbourhood (also known as “The Trap”) before finishing with city-wide hill views from up on Nebet tepe.
