Your Rose Festival day tour itinerary

Departure from Plovdiv early in the morning (around 8 am).
Transfer to the Kazanlak area and the rose fields (1.5-2 hours).
Join in with the rose picking.
Spend free time around the rose fields.
Transfer to Kazanlak city (20 minutes).
Visit the city centre and the Rose Museum.
Stop for lunch in a traditional restaurant (optional).
Visit a rose distillery “Rosa Damascena” on the way back to Plovdiv.
Transfer to your hotel in Plovdiv (around 2-2.5 hours).

Become a part of the amazing Rose Festival!

On your Rose Festival day tour from Plovdiv you will start at the rose fields near Kazanlak, where Bulgarian girls dressed in traditional costumes will show you the old ways of hand picking.

After this, you will visit a rose distillery, see the whole process of making the famous Bulgarian rose oil and have the opportunity to buy some of the other products of the distillery. These are highly sought-after! Your guide will be with you and will be able to advise you about the rose cosmetics if needed.
Don’t forget to try some of the rose jam! Most Bulgarians love it and it’s a common keepsake and treat to take away from the festival.
